Since its beginning in 1970, the Newcastleton Traditional Music Festival has provided a space for musicians, singers, poets and storytellers to come and share their love of traditional culture.

2024 will see the return of our much-loved Opening Concert and ceilidh dance, alongside the continuation of the usual competitions, workshops and sessions. And of course the festival wouldn’t be complete without the brilliant and ancient Copshaw Common Riding.
